Squat stands have an open front — if you fail a rep, the bar can travel forward or backward outside the stand's catch zone, with nothing to stop it. A full power cage like the V2 creates a four-upright enclosure — the safety spotter arms span the full internal width and catch the bar at any point across its full travel path. Whether you miss a squat, a bench press or an overhead press, the bar has nowhere to go except onto the spotter arms inside the cage. This is the mechanical difference that makes solo heavy training genuinely safe.
