XG75 Commercial Functional Trainer with Smith Machine & Power Rack Configurable Commercial Strength System with Dual Cable, Guided Smith Machine & Free-Weight Rack Training

The XG75 is a commercial functional trainer with Smith machine and power rack, combining free-weight rack training, guided Smith machine exercises and dual adjustable cable training within one premium strength system. It is built on a single heavy-duty commercial-grade platform, so every configuration shares the same premium frame, uprights and overall build quality.

The platform is configurable: you can start with the power rack alone, add the Smith machine, or step straight up to the complete all-in-one gym system with dual cable stations and dual weight stacks fitted from day one. Each configuration is a genuine build stage of the same XG75 platform, not a separate cut-down product, so upgrading later means adding to a rack you already own rather than replacing it.

This makes the XG75 a practical option for serious home gyms, PT studios and commercial training environments that want free-weight, guided barbell and cable training covered from one footprint. Read on for how the configurations work, the commercial-grade construction behind the machine, and which setup suits your space.

The two front uprights are constructed from brushed stainless steel and feature laser-cut adjustment numbers across 34 height positions. This gives the rack a premium finish and makes it easy to accurately position J-hooks, spotters and attachments.

The Smith machine and functional trainer stages run on solid hard-chromed guide rods, paired with an aluminium pulley system for smooth and quiet cable movement. An 8mm safety stopper and chrome springs help cushion the Smith machine carriage through its travel.

The Category, Explained

What Is a Functional Trainer with Smith Machine?

A functional trainer with Smith machine combines adjustable cable resistance with a guided barbell system, so you get cable isolation work and guided compound lifts from one station instead of two separate machines. The Smith machine guides the barbell along fixed rails for controlled pressing and squatting, while the functional trainer side uses adjustable pulleys and a cable stack for exercises like cable flyes, rows, pushdowns and curls.

The XG75 goes a step further by integrating a full power rack into the same frame as well, so free-weight barbell training, guided Smith machine work and dual cable training all live in one commercial-grade platform. This is the combination generally described as an all-in-one gym system, and it is why the configuration you choose determines how many of these training styles are available in your setup.

Who Is This For

Who Is a Functional Trainer with Smith Machine Best For?

  • Premium home gym ownersWant free-weight, guided barbell and cable training covered from one commercial-grade platform.
  • Garage gym owners building up over timeStart with the bare power rack and add the Smith machine or functional trainer stage when budget allows.
  • Personal trainers and PT studiosNeed multiple training styles available for different clients without multiple separate machines.
  • Boutique gyms and strength and conditioning facilitiesBenefit from a consistent, commercial-grade platform that covers cable, guided barbell and free-weight work in one station.
  • Buyers who already know they want Smith or cable training soonStart at Power Rack + A so the frame is ready for the next stage without re-buying the base.

Choosing the right configuration: if you want cable, Smith machine and free-weight training from day one, choose the complete PR + A + B + C configuration. If you prefer to build your setup over time, start with one of the earlier configurations and add compatible stages later. If your ceiling height is under 2200mm, confirm clearance before ordering the complete configuration.

Not sure which configuration to start at? A common approach is to buy the bare Power Rack first to confirm the frame suits your space, then add Stage A, followed by Stage B or Stage C once you know which training style you want next. This avoids paying for a stage before you are ready to use it.

FAQ

Functional Trainer, Smith Machine & Power Rack FAQs

A functional trainer with a Smith machine combines adjustable cable resistance with a guided barbell system, allowing cable isolation work and compound Smith machine exercises from one station. Systems such as the XG75 also incorporate a power rack, creating an all-in-one setup for cable, guided barbell and free-weight training.
A functional trainer uses adjustable cable pulleys and weight stacks for exercises like flyes, rows and pushdowns. A Smith machine guides a barbell along fixed vertical rails for controlled squats, presses and other compound lifts. Combined units like the XG75 offer both from the same frame.
Yes. The XG75 is built as a single configurable platform where a power rack, guided Smith machine and dual cable functional trainer can all be fitted to the same frame, either from day one or added in stages over time.
For anyone who would otherwise buy a power rack, a Smith machine and a cable machine separately, a combined unit can be worth it because it consolidates three training styles into one commercial-grade footprint and one consistent frame, rather than three separate machines of varying quality.
An all-in-one gym machine suits home gyms that want free-weight, guided barbell and cable training without dedicating space to three separate machines. It is most useful where floor space is limited but training variety still matters.
Yes, provided there is enough floor space and ceiling height. The complete XG75 configuration needs approximately 3.0m² of floor space and 2200mm of ceiling clearance, so measuring the garage beforehand is recommended.
Look for the steel gauge and construction of the uprights, the type of guide rods used for the Smith machine bar path, the pulley material, the weight stack size, and whether the frame is genuinely commercial-grade rather than a lightweight home-only build.
A dual-stack functional trainer provides independent resistance on each side, which is useful for bilateral cable movements, independent arm training and some two-person training situations. A single-stack cable machine may still suit buyers with simpler training needs or tighter space. The complete XG75 configuration uses dual weight stacks for greater cable-training flexibility.
Combining a Smith machine and cable machine means guided compound lifts and cable isolation work are both available from the same footprint, which suits buyers who do not have space for two separate machines.
For the complete XG75 configuration, allow approximately 3.0m² of floor space, an assembled height of 2200mm and a depth of 1500mm. A bare power rack configuration needs a smaller footprint, so confirm exact measurements with our team.
Depending on the configuration fitted, you can perform free-weight rack exercises like barbell squats and bench press, guided Smith machine exercises like Smith squats and presses, and cable exercises like flyes, rows, pushdowns and curls.
Yes. Start with the Power Rack or Power Rack + A configuration, then add the Stage B Smith machine upgrade kit once you are ready. Stage A must already be fitted before Stage B can be added.
Yes, if the power rack is designed to accept compatible cable modules. The XG75 is a configurable system, so you can start with the power rack and add the required rear support frame and functional trainer stage later. This lets you expand into cable training without replacing the original rack.
Yes. A power rack with Smith machine gives personal trainers both free-weight and guided barbell options for clients at different experience levels, from one piece of equipment.
The XG75 is available as the bare Power Rack (PR), Power Rack with rear support uprights (PR + A), Power Rack with Smith machine (PR + A + B), or the complete functional trainer, Smith machine and power rack (PR + A + B + C).
If you want everything from day one, choose the complete configuration. If you want to spread the cost or are not yet sure which training style you need, start with the Power Rack or Power Rack + A and add the Smith machine or functional trainer stage later.
