Commercial Half Power Rack 300kg Capacity — Engineered for Australian Garage Gyms and PT Studios
The Commercial Half Power Rack is a purpose-built lifting station for serious home gym owners, personal trainers, and small studio operators who want the stability of a full power cage without the footprint. At 2303mm tall, it is specifically engineered to fit comfortably under a standard 2.4m Australian garage ceiling — a compromise that many imported racks simply do not account for.
Built from 60mm x 60mm structural-grade steel, this is not a rack to outgrow. The uprights are laser-cut with 26mm holes at 50mm spacing, giving you fine-tuned adjustment for squats, bench press, overhead press, and every compound lift in between. The 595mm extended spotter arms provide a genuine fail-safe for solo training, not just a token safety feature. If you are comparing this to lighter-gauge alternatives or basic squat stands, the structural difference is immediately apparent.
Read on for the full specification breakdown, what is included, exercise capability, and honest pros and cons to help you decide whether this rack suits your training setup.

What Sets This Rack Apart

- Pre-drilled anchor holes allow floor bolting to concrete or timber for permanent installations
- 300kg rated frame — the structural capacity comfortably exceeds what most lifters will ever load

Pros and Cons
- 300kg load-tested capacity — well above most home gym requirements
- 60 x 60mm upright section is a genuine commercial-grade spec, not a marketing claim
- 2303mm height fits standard Australian 2.4m garage ceilings with appropriate clearance
- 595mm spotter arms provide a real safety margin for solo lifting
- Laser-cut 26mm holes at 50mm spacing allow precise bar height adjustment
- 1200mm internal width correctly sized for 7-foot Olympic barbells
- Integrated pull-up bar adds a bodyweight training option at no extra cost
- Freestanding stability from the 1845mm elongated base — floor bolting optional
- Compact half-rack footprint uses significantly less floor space than a full cage
- No rear uprights — does not fully enclose the lifter, which some prefer for safety redundancy
- Machine weight to be confirmed — may require two people for delivery placement and assembly
- Assembly required — plan for a few hours with a second person to assist
- Warranty period to be confirmed — contact us before purchase if this is a key factor for you
- Does not include a barbell, weight plates, or a bench — these are required for most exercises
- Not suitable for very tall lifters performing overhead press if ceiling clearance is at the minimum
Who Is This Rack For?
- Home gym owners with a standard 2.4m garage ceiling who need a rack that actually fits without modifications or a raised slab
- Serious lifters who train solo and need a reliable spotter arm setup for heavy squats and bench press without relying on a training partner
- Personal trainers running a small studio who want a durable, commercial-grade rack that holds up to daily client use across multiple sessions
- Powerlifters and strength athletes who need fine-tuned bar height adjustment and a 300kg-rated frame to handle progressive overload programs
- Lifters moving on from squat stands who want the added security of fixed uprights and spotter arms but do not have room for a full cage
- Anyone fitting out a compact gym space where every square metre counts and a half-rack footprint makes sense over a larger cage
Who Should Look Elsewhere
If you want a fully enclosed cage with four uprights and rear safety bars on both sides, a full power rack would be a better match. This half rack provides excellent front-facing safety but does not replicate the fully enclosed environment of a cage. If you are primarily looking for a cable machine or multi-station unit rather than a dedicated barbell platform, take a look at our functional trainers instead. And if ceiling height is below 2.3m, we would recommend measuring carefully and speaking with our team before ordering.
For most training scenarios, yes. The 1845mm elongated base and 50 x 70mm rectangular tubing give this rack a wide, rigid footprint that resists movement under standard lifting loads. Most customers use it freestanding without issue. That said, if you are training on a polished concrete floor, lifting very heavy, or installing in a commercial environment with high daily use, we do recommend using the pre-drilled anchor points. The hardware for floor bolting is not included but is a standard concrete anchor bolt available from any hardware store. If you are unsure, our team is happy to talk through your specific floor type and training load.

Frequently Asked Questions
Standard home racks use 50×50mm tubing which flexes noticeably under heavy squats and rack pulls. The 75×75mm box section on this rack stays completely rigid under 500kg loading. The 17 laser-cut numbered positions let every athlete note their exact J-hook height by number and return to it instantly — no counting holes, fast changeovers between multiple athletes in a studio or commercial setting.

A 50×50mm upright (used on most budget and mid-range racks) has approximately 40% less cross-sectional steel than a 75×75mm upright at the same wall thickness. Under heavy loading — particularly during dynamic movements like squats where the bar oscillates — 50×50mm frames produce measurable flex and noise. The 75×75×3mm uprights on this commercial power rack stay completely rigid. Combined with the 8mm thick base plate reinforcement and 145kg frame weight, there is zero wobble at any load within the 1000kg rated capacity.

Elite Commercial Power Rack | Heavy Duty Squat Cage & Home Gym Station
Elite Commercial Power Rack | Heavy Duty Squat Cage & Home Gym Station
Elite Commercial Power Rack — 11-Gauge Steel Squat Cage 450kg+ Load Rated · Multi-Grip Pull-Up Bar · Dip Station · Band Pegs · Home & Commercial Gym | Australia
The Elite Commercial Power Rack is a heavy-duty squat cage built from 11-gauge (3mm) steel in a 75×75mm box section frame — the same specification used in dedicated commercial gym facilities. With a 450kg+ tested load capacity, integrated multi-grip pull-up bar, adjustable dip station, reinforced J-hooks, safety spotter bars and resistance band pegs, this rack delivers a complete strength training environment in a single unit. Finished with a chip-resistant matte black powder coat and weighing 180kg — it is engineered to stay planted under the heaviest compound lifts. Available Australia-wide with delivery to Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth and regional areas.
Most budget power racks use 12–14 gauge steel (2mm or less). Under heavy squats and rack pulls, thinner frames flex, produce lateral movement and amplify bar noise during the lift. The Elite Commercial Power Rack's 11-gauge 3mm steel uprights in a 75×75mm box section stay completely rigid under 450kg+ loading — the same spec found in standalone commercial gym machines. At 180kg, the rack is heavy enough to stay planted without floor bolting, though pre-drilled footplates make bolting possible for maximum security.

Beast Power Rack Commercial 75×75×3mm Power Cage | 500kg+ Rated | Home Gym & PT Studio | Australia
The Beast Power Rack earns its name. Built from 75×75×3mm steel uprights, the same wall thickness used in standalone commercial gym machines and substantially heavier than the 50×50mm tubing found in most home gym racks, this is a power rack built for serious load. Standing 235cm tall with a 119cm outer width and 150cm deep flat-foot base, it is rated for 500kg+ across J-hooks and spotter arms and ships complete with a multi-grip pull-up station, J-hooks and safety spotter arms.
Whether you are building a garage gym, equipping a PT studio, or fitting out a commercial facility, the Beast Power Rack delivers the rigidity and safety margins serious lifting demands, backed by a matte black powder coat finish and available across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth.
Why 75×75×3mm Changes Everything
Standard home gym racks use 50×50×2mm steel tubing. The Beast Power Rack uses 75×75×3mm, a notably larger upright cross-section and thicker wall. This is not a cosmetic upgrade: thicker tube walls resist deflection under eccentric loading, which is a critical safety factor when failing a heavy squat or bench press without a spotter. The laser-cut numbered holes at 50mm spacing support precise, repeatable J-hook positioning rather than the guesswork common to cheaper racks.
Know Your Footprint
Recommended space: Allow a minimum 2.5m × 2.5m floor area for safe training access and barbell loading on both sides. Minimum ceiling height of 2.4m, which standard Australian residential ceilings comfortably meet. Contact our team for layout advice before ordering.

The Right Rack For
- Serious home gym and garage gym liftersCommercial 75×75×3mm steel means this rack is built to outlast every program you run through it, in a footprint suited to a standard garage bay
- Powerlifters and strength athletes500kg+ rated J-hooks and spotter arms, laser-cut numbered holes for competition-height setup, and high rigidity under max effort attempts
- PT studios and small commercial facilitiesMulti-grip pull-up station, bolt-down capability and modular attachment compatibility cover a wide range of client lifting styles
- Anyone upgrading from a 50×50mm budget rackThe difference in rigidity and confidence under load is noticeable from the first heavy session
- School gyms, hotel fitness centres and institutional facilitiesCommercial-grade build suited to sustained daily multi-user heavy use
Who should not buy this: If you have a low ceiling under 2.4m, the Beast Power Rack's 235cm height will not fit comfortably. If you only need a basic squat stand for light accessory work, a smaller and lighter rack will suit your space and budget better. If you need a fully modular cable and pulley system in one unit rather than a dedicated rack, a functional trainer may be a better starting point.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. What’s the difference between a power rack and a squat rack?
A power rack (also called a power cage) has four uprights and built-in safety bars, allowing you to lift heavy weights safely without a spotter. A squat rack or half rack uses two uprights, offering a more compact footprint that’s ideal for home gyms or smaller spaces.
2. Are power racks safe for home gyms?
Yes — power racks are one of the safest strength-training setups you can own. They include adjustable safety arms or pins that catch the barbell if you fail a lift. Always ensure the rack is correctly assembled and placed on level flooring or gym mats for added stability.
3. What size power rack do I need?
Most home gym users choose a rack that’s around 210–230 cm in height, which fits comfortably in a standard garage or room. If you’re tall or plan to do pull-ups inside the cage, check your ceiling clearance. Measure your available space before ordering to ensure it fits your gym layout.
4. Do power racks come with attachments?
Many of our racks at 24/7 Gym Equipment include or support attachments such as dip handles, landmine attachments, cable systems, and pull-up bars. Each product listing specifies which accessories are included or compatible.
5. Can I use a power rack for bench press exercises?
Absolutely. Simply place an adjustable bench inside the rack and set the safety bars at chest height. This setup allows you to bench press safely and effectively, even when training alone.
6. Do you offer installation for power racks in Sydney?
Yes. We offer professional installation within the Sydney metro area and fast, Australia-wide shipping. Pick-up is also available from our Milperra warehouse for added convenience.
7. What flooring is recommended under a power rack?
We recommend using high-quality rubber gym mats (such as our black mats with white flecks, 1000×1000×15 mm). These protect your floor, reduce noise, and provide extra grip for heavy lifts.
